The undefeated Reedy football team made its first appearance in the 5A state rankings this week, giving Frisco ISD two teams in the top 10.

Reedy is tied for 10th in the rankings, which is put out by the Associated Press. The Lions join Lone Star, which is No. 6 in the rankings -- up one spot from a week earlier.

Reedy (7-0) plays Denton Braswell on Friday at FISD Memorial Stadium. Lone Star (6-1), which suffered its only loss this season by three points against No. 2 Highland Park, plays The Colony on Friday at Toyota Stadium.

Lone Star and Reedy will not meet this season. In the UIL's latest two-year realignment for football, Lone Star is in District 5-5A Division I and Reedy is in District 7-5A Division II. They will compete for separate state titles.
